I've taught in London, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and Essex for the past 35 years and I’m now UK based after six years teaching in Spain.

 

I offer one-to-one or group tuition on the percussion instrument/s of your choice.

 

• Drum Kit, Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Cajones, Djembes, Brazilian and African percussion.

   

• Latin American percussion and Cajon specialism.

 

• Primary and secondary level, teaching to degree level. (Trinity College London and Rockschool Graded examinations).

 

 

• Introduction to Drum Kit- Covering Rock, Pop, Funk styles and the essential rudiments.

 

• Introduction to Cajon-

       All ages welcome for an introduction to this fascinating Peruvian instrument. Made famous by Paco de Lucia in Spain and a key     

       instrument in Flamenco today.

 

• Brazilian Samba-

       Learn to play the exciting Batucada rhythms from Brazil. The intoxicating Street beats that can only come from South America.

 

•  Introduction to Jazz & Blues Drum Kit-

        Learn the techniques used by the worlds leading jazz and blues drummers. Swing, Bop and an intro to the wonderful world of brush  

        playing!

 

•  Afro-Cuban percussion-

        Learn to play Bongos, Congas, Timbales and much more.  

 

•  Improvers Drum Kit-

        For those already with drum-kit experience plus a focus on developing sight-reading skills.
